Bonking Frog winery in Dardanup has confirmed it will rebrand this year to become Windfall Wine Estate.
Twenty years since grafting their first merlot from the Schwartzman rootstock vines, the company has embarked on a restructure that includes a name change.
General manager Julie Hutton said the time was right to rebrand as the company moves with the changing climate of the Australian wine industry.
“It is important for us to remain relevant within the modern Australian wine industry and modernizing our branding will enable us to have the credibility and gravitas to sell into various new markets across Australia and around the world,” she said.
Recently the local winery signed on as a new export distributor in China and has worked to establish new direct wholesale sales channels domestically.
“We’ve been able to secure these new markets before the release of our new branding, so all signs point to us making the right change at the right time,” Mrs Hutton said.
