Police search homes as part of investigation into Bunbury assault

Uniformed police officers and detectives are currently searching a home in East Bunbury.

Officers arrived at the Rodsted Street address early on Friday.

Officers were seen removing items from the home in brown evidence bags.

The Mail understands no one was home at the time of the raid.

The home is directly opposite Bunbury Catholic College.

This is the second home in East Bunbury police have searched in recent days, with a team scouring a unit in Herbert Road on Wednesday.

A further search is under way at an Australind property.

The searches are believed to be related to an assault in Carey Park last week.

More to come.
