The Philharmonic South West will explore Merrie England through it’s enthralling music in a concert at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
From Greensleeves to The Teddy Bear’s Picnic, The Hallelujah Chorus to the Dambuster’s March all wrapped up in a community concert on Saturday 17 June at 3pm.
Comprising of an Orchestra of 45 local musicians, under the watchful eye of Conductor David Pye, BREC general manager Sharon Custers said the the Philharmonic South West bring masterful talent to centre stage.
“We’re focused on supporting local musicians and giving South West performers the opportunity to exhibit their talents to the community,” she said.
“Partnering with community groups, such as the Philharmonic South West, is a wonderful way to really showcase some of the world class talent living right here in the South West.”
Continuing on from their sell-out show Family Proms at BREC in 2016, the Philharmonic South West have conquered the Bunbury music scene with record numbers at their South West Music Trail through the Ferguson Valley in April, showcasing beautiful classic music to over 3000 South West residents.
The event’s program is inspired by the great British classics, celebrating the pre-industrial and very nostalgic Merrie England.
