Member for Forrest Nola Marino has announced federal funding for the Bunbury Men’s Shed.
“This funding round will help the Bunbury Men’s Shed to buy tools and equipment, support community projects and training, maintain or develop their buildings, or create local activities to improve men’s health,” Mrs Marino said.
“Bunbury Men’s Shed will receive $5,000 for health improvement activities, with funding going towards their Men’s Resilience program.
Mrs Marino said Men’s Sheds provide a sense of community, a safe and friendly environment where men can work on projects at their own pace, in the company of other men.
“Bunbury Men’s Shed is a fantastic group which is invaluable to Bunbury and the South West,” Mrs Marino said.
“Members have an opportunity to pass their skills on or learn from others.”
“Men’s Sheds plays an important role in advancing men’s health and wellbeing.”
