Bunbury detectives have charged three men over an alleged machete attack in Carey Park on May 10.
Officers arrested a 33-year-old man in Australind during a search of a home last Friday.
Police also searched a home in East Bunbury on Friday morning but no weapon was found.
The man faced court on Monday charged with aggravated armed assault with intent to rob, aggravated home burglary and commit an offence and threats to injury, endanger or harm any person.
The matter was remanded for a week to allow the man time to get legal advice.
A 26-year-old man from Australind then handed himself into police on Monday and was charged with the same three offences.
Police arrested a third man, a 25-year-old of no fixed address. The second and third alleged offenders will appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Once in court, officers will allege the three offenders attended a home on Moolyeen Road, Carey Park about 6.25pm and demanded money and property from the male and female occupants inside.
The man who lived at the home was then grabbed by one of the alleged offenders and forced into his house.
The victim managed to push the offender back outside but was allegedly attacked by two other man waiting nearby.
One allegedly attacked the male victim with a machete, leaving him with a wound to his head and lacerations on his hands.
The victim eventually managed to run to a neighbour’s house for help and the three alleged offenders left the area.
The Mail understands he was treated for his injuries at Bunbury Regional Hospital and released a number of days later.
