Premier Mark McGowan spent his public holiday in Bunbury, joining in the WA Day Festival fun at Stirling Street Arts Centre on Monday morning.
Premier McGowan said it was terrific to spend such a significant day in the South West.
“This is a time to remember how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful state and here in Bunbury, with the great weather, the great event, the great community feel, it’s just a great place to be,” he said.
“This is the first West Australia Day event ever held in Bunbury and so I wanted to make sure I showed my support and came along and I’m really enjoying it – great people, great fun, great food, great heritage.
“There’s lots of places to go to but of course, Bunbury is not too far from where I live and this is the first time the event has been held here in Bunbury and so I thought I’d come and acknowledge that.”
Premier McGowan and his family enjoyed the market stalls, farm animals and Bunbury City Band’s entertainment that were all on offer at the WA Day Festival.
