Bunbury’s Ben Hoskins was presented the wall and ceiling award at the annual ABN Training Apprentice awards on Friday night.
WA builder ABN Group celebrate their top performing building and construction apprentices in August each year.
The 20-year-old was recognised for his unwavering commitment to perfecting the skills of his trade under the guidance of his host trainer at Ceiling Solutions.
A keen surfer, Mr Hoskins hopes to continue working with Ceiling Solutions at the completion of his training and would like to help train future apprentices.
ABN Group managing director Dale Alcock said it is important to recognise the relentless drive and dedication that our apprentices demonstrate in learning their trade.
“This annual event is not only an opportunity to thank our apprentices for the passion and leadership they continue to show in learning and honing their skills, but also their host trainers, our committed contractors who pass on their trade skills and impart valuable life lessons to our apprentices,” Mr Alcock said.
“At ABN Training we have specifically tailored our program to ensure ABN Group apprentices develop strong safety, leadership and life skills, alongside a high level of competency in their trade.
“We are committed to developing tradespeople who will go on to be the best-of-the-best in the industry and valuable contributors in our community.”
