Registrations are open for Relay For Life 2017 with a large number of Bunbury teams expected to join the annual event, fundraising for the fight against cancer.
For 24 hours across November 4 and 5 this year, participants will unite at Bunbury’s Payne Park, sharing laps with teammates while enjoying a laugh, a cry and plenty of fun activities.
The funds raised are used for vital cancer research as well as support for a range of local services.
Relay For Life Bunbury Southwest chairwoman Lara Hebbend said the annual event is out to try and break its record for the most teams entered.
“Currently we have 305 participants across 47 teams ready to relay and we are aiming to get to 80 teams by November,” she said.
“There is going to be so much to enjoy about this year’s edition including new on track activities and heaps of entertainment.”
For the first time in the Bunbury event’s history, Relay For Life 2017 will be proudly sponsored by Hitfm.
“We are very excited to be joining forces with Hitfm and are looking forward to having breakfast presenters Ned and Josh join us on the Saturday morning for a live broadcast from the event.”
Team Captains are invited to get more information about this year’s event at a meeting on Thursday, August 17 at Dot’s Place from 5.30pm.
