A College Grove man who allegedly threatened to strangle his partner and her youngest child was refused bail in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday.
The man, who will not be named in order to protect the identity of his victims, is yet to plead to a charge of threatening to injure, endanger or harm any person.
The charge relates to an incident in which police were called to the College Grove home the man shares with his partner and her children on August 10.
Police are alleging the man was drug-affected when he threatened his partner with a metal hand towel rail.
The man was reported to have been acting aggressively, and is further alleged to have placed the towel rail around the neck of a young child.
Refusing legal representation, the man made a bail application via video from Bunbury Regional Prison where he has been remanded in custody since the alleged offence happened.
Bail was refused by Magistrate Mark Millington who referred to the allegations as serious.
The man will face court again on August 26.
