The Arson Squad is investigating a suspicious fire that caused about $200,000 worth of damage to an apartment in Maylands overnight.
Police were called to a disturbance at a set of units on Kathleen Avenue, near Seventh Avenue, around 11:00pm on Friday.
While dealing with and taking a number of occupants to another address nearby, police were called back to the original address, which was reported to be ablaze.
Fire crews were called in to extinguish the flames, which gutted the apartment.
