Bunbury radio hosts Ned Breward and Josh Torney have been named as finalists in two categories of the 2017 Australian Commercial Radio Awards.
The Hit Southwest breakfast duo will battle it out against some of the biggest names in radio including Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek, and Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson.
Ned and Josh are one of 12 finalists in the best networked program category.
They were also named as one of 12 finalists in the best station promotion category along with team members Kat Tibbits, Jesse Watkins and Jarred O’Brien for their fundraising tandem bike ride between Northam and Kalgoorlie.
Commercial Radio Australia chief executive officer Joan Warner said the awards are a much-anticipated event within a highly competitive radio industry – bringing together radio personalities, executives and station staff to celebrate achievement in the industry.
A highlight of the ACRAs will be the announcement of a Hall of Fame inductee, acknowledging a lifetime commitment to and achievement in the Australian radio industry. Past Hall of Fame inductees including John Laws, Neil Mitchell and Graham Mott.
The winners of this year’s awards, will be announced at a black-tie event at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, October 14.
