Eight years ago Busselton businesswoman Fiona Wood bought a hobby farm in Sabina River and now sells her own produce made from everything grown on the property.
When she bought the farm, Ms Wood looked at ways to create a business incorporating the property and began making her own produce before setting up a store on the property.
“There is so much potential on these little farms to have a home business where you can produce what the farm produces, which keeps the community buying local too,” she said.
“I love doing it because it is creative and I love cooking and being on the farm, I also love that the produce is made here, grown here and sold here.”
Ms Wood now sells many of her products to 20 different cafes and restaurants throughout the South West.
“We are very lucky to share some of our produce with them, it is always fresh, we have fresh oil every year when we harvest,” she said.
The property contains 1800 olive trees along with lemon and other fruit trees, beehives and a variety of animals including emus, kangaroos, horses, cows and birds.
Ms Wood produces a variety of goods including olive oil, jams, preserved fruits, beeswax and soy candles, honey and “anything she could think of.”
The business is not certified organic however they use organic principals and do not use sprays.
The Jersey Farm is located 15 minutes from Busselton at 80 Espinos Road, Sabina River.
The store is mostly open from 11am to 4pm Tuesdays to Saturdays, if you would like to visit the store check out the Facebook page Jersey Farm Olive Grove to make sure Ms Woods will be at the property.
