There was plenty of excitement at the South West Sports Centre on Friday night for round two of the 2017 Bunbury Basketball Association A grade season.
In the women’s competition, the high quality Tornadoes Red side were too good for Tornadoes Black, claiming an 81-45 point victory. Tahya Burrows impressed most with 25 points.
An all-round performance from the Bulls gave them a 77-62 point win over the Busselton Bullets.
Elenor Hartill (22), Brittany Gliddon (19), Courtney Bayliss (18), and Bianca Donovan (14) all contributed to the Bulls total while Adele East (20) and Beige Harris (17) led the way for the Bullets.
In the men’s competition, Busselton got the better of Ace’s White in a close battle.
Matt Mansfield and Harry Mooney both scored a game-high 22 points for the Bullets in the 73-70 win.
Jason Smith (22 points) and Thomas Worrigal (18) led Tornadoes Black to a 65-60 point win over Tornadoes Red while Slammers Trent Worthington (22) and Clive Weeden (20) led the Bulls to an 85-80 point win over Aces Navy.
