A family who went missing while travelling between two remote Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley has been found by emergency services, but police are continuing the search for 63-year-old Robert Dutchie.
Mary Lou Bedford, 29-year-old daughter Myrelle Bedford and her six children were found by police after an extensive search in the East Kimberley after they went missing on Monday.
They were last seen leaving the Warmun Community in a white 4WD Nissan Patrol, and it's understood the family had been travelling to the Imintji Community.
After a two-day search involving local police, emergency services and an aerial patrol, police found the family's Nissan 4WD with a flat tyre on a track at Teronis Gorge on Friday morning.
The family was short distance away although Mr Dutchie was not with the group when they were located.
WA Police spokesman Adam Brouwer said while the family was in good health and spirits, the search for Mr Dutchie was ongoing.
Family members previously told police the group knew the area "very well", and they were well-versed on possible water and food sources.
Anyone with information relating to Mr Dutchie's whereabouts has been asked to contact Kununurra Police.
