Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Balingup on Monday, November 6, 2017.

Around 1.10pm, at the merge point of the overtaking lane on South Western Highway near Russells Road, a blue Honda Civic, travelling south, impacted with the front of a blue and black Volvo truck travelling in the same direction.

As a result of this, the Honda veered into the northbound lanes and into the path of a blue Kenworth truck travelling north.

The driver of the Honda, a 75-year-old man from Seville Grove, was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital, however he passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 as a result of the injuries he received in the crash.

The drivers of the trucks were not injured.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Honda Civic, Volvo or Kenworth trucks travelling along South Western Highway prior to the crash.
