Corporate box attendees at Optus Stadium will be able to purchase full-strength beer while general public areas will be restricted to mid-strength after a determination by the WA Director of Liquor Licensing.
The alcohol restrictions, announced on Tuesday, will follow those already in place at the WACA Ground and Domain Stadium.
Under the newly awarded tavern licence, stadium operator VenuesLive can choose to serve full-strength beer, cider and spirits, depending on the duration and audience demographics of an event.
Optus Stadium chief executive Mike McKenna said the alcohol rules were in line with ensuring safety and security at the venue.
"Our number one focus is to ensure the comfort, safety and security of every fan and staff member at the stadium and surrounding Stadium Park," he said.
"For every event at the stadium, a dedicated alcohol management plan will be developed which considers the type of event, its duration, audience demographics and the time of year.
"This plan will be submitted to WA Police for its review and endorsement ahead of the event taking place."
For cricket and football matches, general admission fans will be served mid-strength beer.
The announcement follows WA brewery Gage Roads Brewing Co winning the stadium's sole beer and cider contract, while WA company Mrs Macs won the new venue's pie and sausage roll contract in October.
The bakery has developed a new range of pies including butter chicken, beef Rendang, premium Angus and apple and cinnamon.
Gage Roads in May 2016 won the top prize at the Australian International Beer Awards for their pale ale, Little Dove.
The drop also took out Best New World Style Pale Ale.
Optus Stadium will host its first major event, the one day international between Australia and England on January 28.
