Students and staff at Hope Christian College in Roelands have improved facilities thanks to funding from the federal government.
Member for Forrest Nola Marino officially opened the new facilities on Wednesday on behalf of federal Education and Training minister Simon Birmingham.
“It was great to visit Hope Christian College and see the impact of the new learning areas will have on students,” Mrs Marino said.
The Turnbull Government provided $520,000 in funding from the capital grants program, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure where they otherwise may not have access to sufficient capital resources.
Mrs Marino said students and the whole school community would benefit from these new facilities.
“The Turnbull Government is also investing an additional $23.4 billion in Australia’s schools through the Gonski needs-based funding plan that will ensure students who need the most support, get the most support as quickly as possible,” she said.
