Return of the Alby: WA's 'first' beer
The Albion was the first brewery in the Swan River Colony and brewed WA's first beer brand.
Now, 175 years later after the Albion's inception, two new beers from Gage Roads pay homage to the legacy of WA's original beer.
The new Alby certainly honours its WA roots, using 100% WA malted barley, brewed at Gage's Palmyra headquarters and available only in WA.
There are two new releases: the 4.2% draught and 3.5% crisp lager, with the latter likely to be on tap at the new Perth Stadium, given Gage is the venue's beer supplier and only mid-strength beer can be drunk at the venue.
Both the beers are available at Liquor Barons, Dan Murphy's, BWS and the independents.

If that's not enough, UberEats has been engaged to feed the hungry while they dance and play.
