Members of the Bunbury Woodturners group have worked together to help give back to the community.
For the fifth consecutive year, the group has created 100 wooden bowls using lathes.
The bowls were then filled with lollies, this year donated by Cravens Foods and Woolworths Treendale.
The bowls and treats would then be delivered by Silver Chain to elderly residents and high-care clients during Christmas time.
Bunbury Woodturners group treasurer Claude English said the group strived to benefit its members and the community.
“I think it’s a very good idea to work with Silver Chain because they do a fantastic job,” he said.
“We just hope that everybody appreciates what Silver Chain does.”
The Bunbury Woodturners operate out of the Apex Hall at Payne Park.
The group holds displays at festivals in the South West, working hard to make the public aware and attract new members.
Mr English said the group got its members to leave the house while putting their minds and hands to work.
The group has between 60 to 65 members, with an average of 10 to 15 in attendance at each session.
