Energetic and upbeat, Bomba Latin Fusion aims to get people moving with a collection of exotic rhythms.
Performing at the Prince of Wales Hotel on Friday, December 22, the group of Latin American musicians are looking forward to visiting the South West.
Bomba Latin Fusion director Miguel De La Mata, who is from Peru, said the group measured their success by how many people were dancing.
“I ended up forming this band to create a Latin fusion, so it’s not just salsa, we try to offer things from different backgrounds,” he said.
“It has to be very energetic – we don’t have any ballads, it’s something to enjoy, it’s colourful and people tend to describe it as very happy.
“It’s not just Latin music either, we will also play cover versions with a twist, like Stevie Wonder, Men at Work and some Australian rock classics.”
