An attendee of Nextra Bunbury has become the fourth West Australian Division One lottery winner in the past four days.
The winner picked up the Division One prize from Wednesday night’s $1 million draw.
The winner – collecting the $1 million ticket from the Bunbury newsagency – and the other three lucky participants now share in almost $2.5 million in combined prize money.
Nextra Bunbury owner Belinda Jefferies said it was the store’s first Division One winner in its five years in operation.
“We’re very excited for the person who is our $1 million winner and hopefully they are one of our regulars,” she said.
“Hopefully they would love to come in and say hi to us so we get to know who they are.
“For them it’s life-changing, so we hope it has gone to someone who really deserves it and is able to set up their life.”
Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone said almost $100 million in Lotto prizes would be up for grabs over the coming week.
A $40 million OZ Lotto jackpot will also be on offer in the new year.
On the weekend, two of the Division One winners collected $420,000 from the Lotterywest Winners Room.
“We welcomed a syndicate of four Perth workmates, who shared in one of the $420,000 prizes,” Ms Compagnone said.
“While a retired Joondanna couple in their 70s – who just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary – also took home one of the top prizes.”
Players have until 6pm draw day to purchase tickets in this week’s draws in-store, through Lotterywest membership online or via the app.
