Leschenault kept its finals hopes alive after claiming victory over Colts last weekend.
After winning the toss at Bunbury Recreation Ground, Colts’ openers were quickly sent back to the clubrooms.
Murray Goodwin hit the crease and delivered 55 runs off 134 balls to keep the home crowd enthused.
He watched on as many of Colts’ middle order batsmen fell to the Green Caps’ bowling line-up.
Colts were stranded on 7/131 after Goodwin was caught by wicketkeeper Josh Grime.
Josh Topliss’s 29 runs helped to push his side to 9/163 after 50 overs.
Needing the win to remain in finals contention, Leschenault started its inning on an eager note.
Following Lachlan Golding and Matt Buchanan’s dismissals, Kurt D’Agostino (55 not out off 114) and Jarrad Quinn (58 off 83) formed an unstoppable partnership.
The visitors did enough to reach 4/164 with nearly seven overs to spare.
Eaton remains destined to finish the regular season on top of the ladder following its 27-run win over Dalyellup Beach.
Eaton opening batsman Matthew Davies put Eaton in a comfortable position, notching up 71 off 111.
Middle order batsmen Arron Quartermaine (46 off 53), Leigh O’Mara (49 off 66) and Clayton Caltsounis (28 off 40) helped their side secure a whopping 218.
Dalyellup bowler Zane Verhaaf impressed with 4/35 from nine overs.
Dalyellup’s inning began promisingly, with Dean Lomax knocking 82 off 104.
Eaton demolished Dalyellup’s middle and lower orders, with the home side all out for 191 with 2.3 overs remaining.
Caltsounis (4/36 from 10) and O’Mara (3/33 from 5.3) also impressed with the ball.
Collie remains at the bottom of the leaderboard following a six-wicket loss to Marist.
Marist’s bowling line-up – featuring Alan Utterson (4/16 from 10) – tore through the Coalminers in just 29.4 overs.
Opener Blair Malatesta (14) was the only Collie batsman to reach double figures.
Marist’s inning began poorly as Collie bowler Sam Ireland (4/25 from five) went on the attack.
The early dismissals of Max Bryant (4), Cory Fitt (8), Kyle Davis (0) and Sam Roots (0) stranded Eaton on 4/14.
Middle order batsman Brayden Clarke was the Blues’ savour, knocking 33 off 34 including five fours.
His side reached Collie’s total in 12.2 overs.
Marist now sits five points behind Eaton after 11 rounds.
The BCDA sides have two weeks off before returning for round 12 on Saturday, February 3.
