For Australian comedian Ben Darsow, Bunbury’s Fringe spectacular cannot come quick enough.
The comic will deliver his brand of witty, off-the-cuff humour at the Rose Hotel on Thursday, February 22 from 6.30pm.
Having recently travelled the South West for the Comedy Gold tour, Darsow has grown fond of the region.
“I have been to Bunbury twice before and it was really fun, it’s going to be sweet to be able to do a bonus session of my show down there,” he said.
“I love the audiences in the South West, I think they’re really playful and this show is observational stand-up but it’s very improvisational as well.
“It’s going to be different and I love that West Australian audiences respond well to that.”
Darsow continues to ascend in Australia’s comedy scene, performing to capacity crowds at Perth Fringe World.
His efforts also saw him nominated for Best Comedy at Perth’s 2016 and 2017 Fringe festivals.
The comic said hard work and touring were paying off.
“It was a good year in general last year, I was on the road out of Adelaide for close to 45 weeks,” he said. “It was a truckload of performing and I am at a point now in my career where there is a lot of work there.”
Beyond his success in WA, the comedian has performed for international comedy circles in Edinburgh, New York, Canada and New Zealand.
