One organisation is providing valuable advice for people in the Greater Bunbury region.
The Western Australian Council of Social Service is conducting a natural disaster relief training session.
The session will be held on Friday, February 9, from 9am, at the City of Bunbury council’s function room.
WACOSS projects and business development manager Stuart Reid said the training helped people look after those in need during major events.
“What this training does is to help organisations to think ‘what would we do if there was a disaster?’,” he said.
“This workshop helps them to identify what those issues are for their clients and helps them to identify what issues there are in their organisations.”
Organisations typically involved in the sessions include those dealing with senior citizens or disadvantaged youth.
Funding for the sessions was made possible through the Commonwealth, the Australian Council of Social Service, and in-kind support.
