FORM's brand new festival celebrating storytelling, Scribblers Festival, is holding a competition starting this month at WA libraries ahead of the festival’s launch later this year.
FORM, a not for profit cultural organisation is launching the festival on May 9, as a new literature and arts initiative for children and adolescents.
The golden feather treasure hunt will be a statewide competition encouraging children to visit their local libraries to search for feather bookmarks hidden in children and young adult books, starting in March and running until May 13.
Among the hidden feathers are a handful of special golden feathers which will earn a major prize for lucky readers.
Including an Ipad, two nights stay at a local hotel, free VIP tickets to the festival in Perth and a book package.
Festival director Katherine Dorrington said she was excited so many libraries were participating in the competition.
"We're really excited to bring the Golden Feather Hunt to kids all over WA,” she said.
“It's going to be a lot of fun and a great adventure.
"We're thrilled that we've got so many regional libraries participating, giving kids and families in regional communities the chance to take part.”
