The South West Academy of Sports Fun Run showcased an enthusiastic group of athletes and spectators on Saturday, March 17.
Participants – taking on in the 10 kilometre run, 5km run or walk, or 2km run – launched off the blocks at Leschenault Inlet from 8am.
The athletes passed Koombana Bay and other popular Bunbury locations before heading back to Leschenault Inlet.
Volunteers were on hand to assists runners, while Telstra held a barbecue to celebrate the event.
The South West Academy of Sport was developed to enhance training and support for up-and-coming athletes in the region.
The program educates participants about nutrition, fitness, life skills, injury prevention and career guidance.
The event was supported by Telstra and the Chefs Long Table Lunch.
