South West Police are calling for the public's help after a rise in thefts from suburban sheds.
Last week, South West District Police posted on social media about a series of thefts from sheds in Withers and South Bunbury.
Bunbury Officer in Charge Senior Sergeant Mal Jones noted there was an increase in incidents of this nature.
He said, even with locked doors, many sheds could easily be broken into.
Sen. Sgt. Jones said power tools, lawn mowers, whipper snippers, camping and fishing gear and bikes were typically targeted for re-sale value.
He also said some homeless people had been sleeping in sheds in those areas.
He called for residents to make sure their sheds were locked, and advised people to consider installing sensor lights.
Police urge residents to report suspicious behaviour to 131 444.
