A 28-year-old man arrested over a series of thefts across Australind and Collie faced Bunbury Magistrates Court on Friday, March 16.
Paul van den Enden was charged with 16 counts of stealing, 14 of gaining benefits via fraud, nine of home burglary, six of burglary, three of fraud, two of possessing unlicensed firearms/ammunition and one of possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
Van den Enden was granted a $10,000 personal undertaking, $10,000 surety, and a 6pm to 6am curfew.
The accused is forced to reside at his parents’ Barnes Avenue residence in Australind and must not display threatening or intimidating behaviour towards them.
Taking the high number of charges into account, Magistrate Brian Mahon said Van den Enden was lucky to be receiving bail.
The case was adjourned to Thursday, April 5.
