Bunbury artists will get the chance to showcase their wondrous creations in this year's free Tree Street Art Safari spectacular.
The self-guided artists’ trail will guide patrons through studios and homes in Tuart Street, Parkfield Street, Karri Street, Beach Road, and Stockley Road from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, March 24.
Featured artists include Andrew Frazer, Cynthia Dix, Judi McGuigan, Neil and Suellen Turner, and Wendy Sullivan.
The tour will also deliver two interactive installations – Helena Sahm’s Today I am – Identity in Suburbia on Tuart Street and Dee Mosca’s inTENTactive on Stockley Road.
For the first time, due to popular demand, organisers have planned two Architect Tour dates.
The architect tours will kick off at 9am on Saturday, March 24 and 4pm on Sunday, March 25, guided by Kent Lyon.
Patrons will meet at the St Bontiface-Parkfield Street car park before the tours commence.
Mr Lyon said the events acknowledge the artists as well as the history of the area.
“It’s about exposing people to the artists that are in the area,” he said.
“It gives them exposure to the artists and it’s also for people in the neighbourhood who appreciate coming along.”
The Art Safari originally began in 2015 as a paid event. Sponsors then came onboard to help make it free for everyone.
The tours are supported by the City of Bunbury, Alcoa, Summit Realty, BHR Papalia and Stirling Street Arts Centre.
Maps are available at the Stirling Street Arts Centre, the Bunbury Visitor Centre and the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries.
