Full job description

Core Talent is currently looking for Aluminothermic (AT) Welders for a 5-year FIFO/DIDO Rail project based in greater QLD commencing early February 2022. You need to have proven experience within Australia and be able to work a 3 week on 1 week off roster doing 10+ hour days. Ongoing work for the correct candidates. Plenty of OT, travel and good rates paid.

Duties

  • Rail Maintenance
  • Aluminothermic Welding
  • Safely plan, prepare and execute work using correct processes
  • Quality control
  • Operate all mobile equipment safely both on and off track
  • Correctly finish all work to specifications

You MUST

  • Hold a Construction Card (white/blue)
  • Have a great attitude and be eager to learn
  • Must hold a National Aluminothermic Welding Certificate (TLIW3015) Category 3 Rail Medical and drug and alcohol screening
  • Full C Class Driving License
  • Ability to pass a category 1 medical
  • Provide 2 construction related referee's
  • MUST be willing to travel to site on a roster of 3/1
  • Have your own full PPE
  • Hold full working rights and be willing to work 50+ hours a week
  • Cert III in Rail Infrastructure
  • C2 - Slewing mobile crane (Desirable)
  • DG - License to perform dogging (Desirable)
  • EX - Conduct Excavator Operations (Desirable)
  • FEL - Front End Loader (Desirable)
  • First Aid training (Desirable)
