Conditions of employment are in accordance with the City of Bunbury Employee's 2018 Enterprise Agreement with a level 4 ($73,124) gross salary.

As a Cadet, you will be actively undergoing studies towards qualifications as a Building Surveyor Technician. What you will Need

As part of the Building Surveyor team, you'll need to work well in a team environment and demonstrate good verbal and written communication abilities.

During your time as a Cadet, you will be developing a high level of skill to become the best building surveyor you can be. Some of the tasks you will be completing as below:

  • Providing professional advice on building compliance.
  • Assisting in the processing of building applications, permits and assisting with compliance and swimming pool inspections.
  • Working with the team to ensure City of Bunbury provides an effective and professional operation.
  • Participating in ongoing improvement and business growth initiatives.
  • Complying with relevant legislation and undertaking quality audits when required.
  • Visiting and advising stakeholders including residents and builders on a wide range of building compliance matters; and
  • Ensuring all projects comply with relevant building standards.
  • You will have a commitment to providing high level of customer service and have a good written and verbal communication skills.
