BUNBURY firm Kroon Legal are proud to announce that employee Carmel Torney has been accredited as a family law specialist.
Ms Torney was one of three legal practitioners who was presented the certificate in WA.
Kroon Legal principal lawyer Rod Kroon said there were only 45 family law specialists in WA and five are based in Bunbury.
Mr Kroon said to become a family law specialist you had to have at least five years experience as a legal practitioner with at least three years practice in family law and more than 25 per cent of their time specialising in family law.
Ms Torney began her career as a legal practitioner in her home state of Northern Territory.
She then decided to broaden her experience by working for a large national company in a management role.
During that time Ms Kroon was able to complete her masters of laws and started her master of business administration.
