THE Bunbury-Jiaxing Business Office this year celebrated five years of fostering relationships between local businesses and their Chinese counterparts.
The Office was started in 2008 with assistance from the South West Development Commission and the City of Bunbury.
Lomax Media has recently taken advantage of the services provided by the organisation, with recent business deals facilitated by the services the office provides.
“We were doing some work for Chinese company Seamild and they were impressed because the Bunbury-Jiaxing Office were able to translate some of the specifications we provided,” owner Dean Lomax said.
“We have a fairly global focus these days so being able to be assisted by the office really helps.
“We can help local businesses to source suppliers or buyer from China and we will help Chinese businesses when they come over here,” liaison officer Edwin Zhuang said.
“There is a focus on tourism, food and wine, timber, educational exchange programs and general trade,” he said.
