Bunbury multicultural event set to be bigger and better than ever

CULTURAL pride and the city’s diversity will be on show when the Multicultural Night Under the Stars returns bigger and better than ever next month.

The Bunbury Multicultural Group is looking forward to their premier event which is now in its eighth year.

Group co-chair Saswati Pal said Bunbury was home to people from many different cultural backgrounds and the event enabled those cultures to be showcased through performance and multicultural cuisine.

“We want to include as many cultural groups as possible to be represented this year – this is such a diverse region and everyone should be celebrated,” she said.

Coordinator Shamara Willi-ams said the event would include a flag parade through the city, food and market stalls and performances at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell.

“It would be great to see more children involved to show that culture is passed down to the next generation,” Ms Williams said.

Stallholders should contact Ms Williams on shama raw@bigpond.net.au  or by phone on 0428 971 448 for further information and to access a stall application.
