LONG awaited catch-ups were on the cards, when about 230 Bunbury's Sacred Heart-St Joseph's school past students reunited at World Kitchen Saturday night.
Encompassing classes from 1938 to 1973, the reunion kicked off with MC John Freeman recounting the history of the school and providing a glimpse of yesteryear Bunbury.
Mr Freeman described school life for many of those present, including various run ins with teaching nuns.
"There was an old nun we used to call 'crabby' that we used to give a hard time," Mr Freeman said.
Now Bunbury Catholic College, St Joseph's elementary school was the first on the original site in 1883, before Sacred Heart high school joined in 1899.
In 1955 the elementary and high school were amalgamated to form St Joseph's school, before becoming Bunbury Catholic College in 1973.
There with his wife Theresa, Vin Hynes remarked on the number of old friends catching up at the reunion.
"Some of these guys haven't seen each other in over fifty years," Mr Hynes said.
Mr and Mrs Hynes both attended St Joseph's, but didn't get to know each other until after finishing school.
The night saw a sit down meal and drinks, ending with a cake cutting ceremony.
