BASKETBALL: The Eaton Recreation Centre played centre court on Sunday for the State Basketball League all-stars clash.
South West Slammers Ty Harrelson featured as coach and captain of the South all-stars and was joined in the starting nine by teammate Clive Weeden for the clash against the North all-stars.
Both teams came out determined to show their skills and at half time the South side led 48 – 47 with Weeden scoring 10.
A three point throw from Gavin Field on the buzzer saw the South side leading 74 – 70 at three quarter time and ran out 107 – 101 winners.
Damien Scott was named most valuable player with 24 points.
Harrelson and Weeden also played in an all-stars side which took on the Perth Wildcats on Friday.
