ONE lucky Australind shopper is set to benefit from more than $2.7 million after a winning lottery ticket was sold at the Australind Newsagency for the New Year Saturday Superdraw.
The ticket was the only winning division one ticket sold in Western Australia for the $30 million jackpot draw.
But the identity of Greater Bunbury’s newest millionaire is still unknown as the ticket is yet to be claimed.
Newsagency manager David Anderson said the store was excited after finding out they had distributed the ticket.
“It felt very good knowing we’d sold the winning ticket,” he said.
“I’d like to thank our existing customers and hope that their luck continues.”
Mr Anderson said a large amount of phone calls had been flooding him after his friends and family heard about the winning ticket.
“I’ve had all of my mates calling me up about it – it’s extremely exciting,” he said.
The winning ticket comes just three years after the same newsagency sold a winning ticket in the same New Year’s draw.
