Western Australia has recorded its first death over the Easter long weekend, with a 33-year-old man dying in car crash in the Mid West of the state on Friday morning.
Just after 9.35am, a silver Kia station sedan was involved in a rollover on North West Coastal Highway, near the Billabong Roadhouse in Meadow, 665 kilometres north of Perth.
The 33-year-old male passenger in the car died at the scene.
The 34-year-old woman, who was the driver of the car, was taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Police want anyone who was travelling on North West Coastal Highway who may have seen the crash or the vehicle prior to the crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
