A BUNBURY teen has the world at her feet as the premiere of blockbuster Mad Max Fury Road hits cinemas next week.
Courtney Eaton, an equally stunning and talented 19-year-old, was raised in Bunbury but is building an acting career, rubbing shoulders with stars like Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Abbey Lee.
She started out modelling but her love for the silver screen took over and she landed a role in the blockbuster due to open in Bunbury’s Grand Cinemas on May 14.
Her father, Stephen Eaton, said he could not be more proud.
“We are heading to Sydney on May 13 for the Australian premiere and then back to Bunbury in time for the Thursday opening,” he said.
“We all went over chaperoning her for the movie’s pre-production which included five months in Namibia and then a month in South Africa.”
He said she loved living in Los Angeles, with celebrity friends only a short walking distance from her apartment but did miss Bunbury.
“They have all been really good to her and she has worked closely with Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy and all the other girls on set,” he said.
“She’s been photographed by the paparazzi a couple of times but she seems to be handling it with grace.”
Bunbury’s Grand Cinemas is hosting an event for the opening next Thursday including wine and cheese before the movie.
“We are trying to get more tickets sold and if we get enough numbers we can hopefully open another cinema for the opening,” Mr Eaton said.
“I’m very proud – I am hanging out for the movie as I’m a big Mad Max fan."
