GOURMET Escape is on the horizon once again with a host of famous faces and reputations worth relishing making the trip for the culinary experience of a life time.
Known as the ‘godfather of modern cooking’ Marco Pierre White will headline the extravaganza, leading a host of 40 food personalities into the region.
The famed British chef, author and restaurateur will engage with Margaret River Gourmet Escape’s audience and showcase renowned produce and wine from the South West.
One of the most anticipated events across the three-day festival will see White host a question and answer over dinner at Vasse Felix winery with his alumni Jock Zonfrillo, Richard Turner and Patrick Spencer.
“Eating is one of the most important aspects of living. I like indulging. I like to eat one food at a time, to savour each individual thing,” White said.
“The Australian food scene fascinates me so I am especially excited to return and be part of this extraordinary festival and explore the diversity of incredible produce and wine from this beautiful region, Margaret River.”
Along with the expanding list of international names is a series of local chefs who are putting their name on the culinary world map.
They include David Hull from Cullen Wines, Aaron Carr from Vasse Felix, Dany Angove from Leeuwin Estate, Nigel Harvey from Voyager Estate, Melissa Kokoti from Xanadu, Michael Elfwing from cape Lodge and Ben Day from Aravina Estate to name a few.
The Gourmet Escape runs from November 20-22.
