South Regional TAFE have named Duncan Anderson as interim managing director as a restructure of the industry is rolled out across Western Australia.
Mr Anderson will oversee more than a dozen campuses over 197,000 square kilometres with corporate executive staff situated at the major campuses to maintain a strong staff presence in these locations.
“These positions will be part of the TAFE College corporate executive which will provide assistance to the governing council and collaborate with industry and communities throughout the region,” Mr Anderson said.
“The new governing council and college executive, who lead business operations, are visiting each campus to meet staff and students.
“Lecturing staff will continue to work closely with industry and business operators to ensure students receive training relevant to the workplace, increasing their opportunities for employment.”
Mr Anderson said the expanded organisation will allow closer collaboration between the institutions and a larger shared pool of expertise and resources.
He said expanded course options would be offered across training areas including trades, health, education, business, primary industries and information technology.
“I am confident the dedicated staff of South Regional TAFE will continue to deliver excellent outcomes for students, employers and industry,” he said.
