Myalup jockey Lucy Warwick has continued her rise to the top, scoring victory in four of the eight races on Saturday’s Belmont card.
Warwick got the day off to a great start with a short-head victory on Elegant Blast ($1.75). The two-year-old bay filly now has two wins from two starts.
A second short-priced winner came in race five aboard Cool Passion ($2.15) who claimed the first leg of the quaddie by one-and-a-half lengths.
Race six saw Warwick aboard The Flirt ($8.70) nail My Magic Miss, who had led from start to finish, on the line over 2100 metres.
The feature of the day, the group three Hyperion Stakes was another nailbiter with Warwick lifting favourite Wink and a Nod ($2.30) to victory in the final bound over stablemate Zarantz.
The former Australind Senior High School student also partnered Wink and a Nod to victory in the Belmont Sprint a fortnight ago.
All four horses are trained by Lucy’s father Justin Warwick making the successful day out a family affair.
