Bunbury police have arrested a woman after $80,000 worth of methamphetamine was found inside her car.
South West Traffic officers stopped the vehicle during a routine inquiry on Symmons Street in the Bunbury CBD about 9am on Wednesday.
The female driver allegedly tested positive to methamphetamine after a random drug swipe which led officers to search her vehicle.
Bunbury Detective Senior Sergeant Al McNevin said the search turned up six ounces of methamphetamine which had been well concealed.
“A female is currently in custody, the investigation is continuing and charges are expected to be laid soon,” he said.
“This seizure is part of the South West District’s ongoing operation targeting illicit drugs.”
