Lake Grace’s Ethan Allen made a special trip to Bunbury to reclaim his KTM motorbike, stolen by thieves last December.
The boy from the bush had come to Bunbury late last year to get his pride and joy serviced for the first time.
While visiting his grandmother’s house in Bunbury, the bike was stolen by thieves.
A recent search by Bunbury Police’s Crime Intelligence Coordination Unit targeting drug and volume crime turned up the stolen bike during a recent search.
The Allen family were thrilled to hear the bike had been found and was still in good condition.
“Ethan’s faith has been restored,” his mother Rebecca said.
“Ethan named the bike after his grandfather who recently passed away and did a lot of work on our farm to earn the money to purchase it for himself.
“It means so much to all of us that the police were able to recover it and return it to us.”
It’s safe to say we all know what the WA College of Agriculture - Harvey student will spend the rest of his school holidays doing.
Bunbury police Constable Steph Smith said it was great to deliver another family such a positive outcome.
“We don’t always get the opportunity to return people’s property to them after a robbery so it’s such a great result we have today,” she said.
“It’s very pleasing for everyone involved.”
