Are you on the hunt for love?
So are Bunbury locals Anna Coventry and Emma English and they’ve decided they’re fed up with waiting so they’ve organised their own singles night and are encouraging other singles to come along.
Ms Coventry said they want people to come out of their shell and meet others.
“I know it can be daunting to approach someone in a bar so this singles night will remove the doubt over whether they’re married or in a relationship,” she said.
The singles night is for everyone 30 to 55 and pair said everyone is welcome.
“Everyone is in the same boat and I think it’s important everyone knows they are welcome gay or straight we’re all trying to find love,” Ms Coventry said.
“By 30 people are looking to settle down and with the amount of partner separations these days I think a night like this is important.”
The pair have pointed to a number of factors causing relationship breakdown but highlighted Bunbury’s meth crisis as a key factor in failed relationships.
“It’s bad in Bunbury and people can’t stay with someone who is addicted to meth for their sake and their children’s sake,” Mr Coventry said.
“This way there’s no pressure if you want to talk to someone you can if not that’s fine too, bring a wing-man on the night if you’d like.”
“We don’t want everyone to walk into an empty bar, so get out and have some fun.”
The single night is on Friday, August 5 at Bar 51, email redcarpetwa@outlook.com for booking information.
