The City of Bunbury junior bulls have continued their push for supremacy with the under 15s side travelling to take on a well-established Rockingham team in an exciting contest.
The big Rockingham pack played the scrums and lineouts well and it was evident early on that the Bulls lacked the experience of full contested scrums.
True to their strong heritage, the Bulls did not give up and came back in true Bullring style.
The Bunbury side slowly clawed back possession and started to neutralise the early advantage. In the end, the Bulls fell just four points short 35-31.
The team’s coach said his side are getting stronger and stronger and with a few more minutes, may have pulled off the victory. Meanwhile, the under 17s side played their first game after the holiday break against Associates and pulled in a stunning 43-14 win.
Led from the front by Walker Smith and Jean Godfrey, the young men played through the weather and a tough contest to come away with a convincing victory.
