South West Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with information to assist with their investigation into a truck fire in Picton on Saturday night, September 3, 2016.
About 10pm, police and the department of fire and emergency services were called to a report of a vehicle fire at a commercial property located on South West Highway near Giorgi Road.
Several agricultural vehicles were parked next to each other on the property and it is believed unknown persons have deliberately set fire to one of the vehicles which then spread to other vehicles.
An ag spreader, prime mover and a flatbed truck were damaged in the fire and the damage is estimated to be in excess of $200,000.
Detectives would like to speak to the male driver of a car that stopped at the scene.
He was travelling with three children and he may have information to assist in the investigation.
