Pop an antihistamine and lace up your hiking boots for spring has sprung and there are many pretty flowers to spot.
Strategen, an environmental consulting company with offices in Bunbury and Perth, has sprung into action and undertaken a number of vegetation and targeted orchid survey over the past week from Bunbury to Yallingup.
Strategen’s Lead Ecologist Daniel Panickar said favourable conditions including high and early rainfall has resulted in what is expected to be a “bumper” wildflower season in the South West.
“Orchids, native shrubs and herbs are flowering in high numbers and are attracting a large amount of native insects who are attracted by the colour and smell of flowers,” he said.
