The Bunbury branch of Century 21 is gearing up in preparation for Pink October, when the real estate agency will be raising awareness and funds for Cancer Council.
Century 21 are supporting Pink October for the third year running, with agents across Australia and New Zealand wearing pink jackets, complemented with pink accessories such as scarves and ties.
Century 21 in Bunbury will be holding a variety of fundraisers Century 21 Bunbury principal director Clinton Knop said he wants the community to keep an eye out for.
“We’ll be having events and selling merchandise to raise money for research,” he said.
Mr Knop said the business was a proud supporter of cancer research.
“Paul and Darralyn Duffy and I are all very dedicated to cancer research, everyone at Century 21 has an experience with cancer and some of us very personally,” Mr Knop said.
Mr Knop also said he wants to encourage men suffering with cancer to seek out a friend or service they can talk to.
“When women get cancer they all rally around each other but men are men and find it much more difficult to open up about what’s on their mind,” Mr Knop said.
“When I had my own journey with cancer I found it was an issue for myself.”
Last year, Century 21 staff proudly raised over $120,000 and the company is striving to better this result in 2016.
