St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is set to hold its family fun day on Saturday, October 29.
The event is open to the public and is set to be a very festive with plenty of activities, children’s rides and market stalls on offer.
This year’s event will have all the family favourites including the petting zoo, lions train, pony ride and bouncy castles but with a bigger and better laser tag, new sumo suits, life-size action characters and more free activities for the younger kids.
Entry to the event is free with a small charge for individual rides and attractions.
The school’s parents and friends association hopes to raise funds to expand the outdoor facilities at the school including creating a more diverse nature play area.
P&F president Katherine Baldock said the fete held last year was extremely well attended.
“Last year was the first fete held at the school in more than 20 years and with so much great feedback we were really excited about running the Family Fun Day again in 2016, and we’ve got so much more planned for families to enjoy,” she said.
“The school community is getting behind the event providing attractions, prizes for raffles and donations.”
School principal Riley Horrocks said the event is a great opportunity for families to get together and enjoy the day out. It also helps promote a strong sense of community.
“It’s wonderful to see so many families having fun, enjoying the event and finding out more about our school community,” he said.
